London – the greatest City

By most measures, London is the greatest city in Europe. With an official population of 8,174,100, is the most populous municipality in the European Union. Moreover, the London metropolitan area is the largest in the EU with an estimated total population of between 12 million and 14 million. In addition, London's 43 universities form the largest concentration of higher education anywhere in Europe.

It is also the world's most-visited city as measured by international arrivals and has the world's largest city airport system measured by passenger traffic.

Quite simply, London makes Paris, Berlin, and Rome look distinctly second rate.

Now, whilst your average Parisian, Berliner or Roman might well disagree with this, they will begrudgingly accept that London is Europe’s most global city and as such it deserves its mantle of being known as the ‘the world in one city’.

However, there is something of a dichotomy at work here, especially from a European perspective.

Indeed, while most Europeans appreciate the fact that London’s arts, commerce, education, entertainment, fashion, finance, healthcare, media, professional services, research and development, tourism and transport are amongst the very best in the world; they simply cannot understand why Londoners themselves do not make more use of them.

To be sure, they just cannot work out why it is we here in London only go out and appreciate our great city on a Friday and Saturday night.

And do you know what? They have a point

It is fair to say that Londoners, like most other people in the UK, really do live for the weekend. Unlike our counterparts on the Continent, we generally prefer to lie low during the week and save our money so that we can go out in style at the weekend. This is at complete odds with our European cousins who instead spend many of their weekday evenings enjoying a few drinks or a meal out with the good company of others.

It could be argued that we here in London could learn a lot from adopting similar behaviors. Indeed, breaking up the working week with a few more nights out could really help to even out the old work-life balance a lot more. Without doubt, a nice evening meal out and a catch-up with friends would surely be far more of a treat than sitting in front of the TV for four nights in a row.

However, whilst you may well find the idea of ‘going Continental’ to be very appealing, you may find it something of a challenge to convince others to join you.

Fortunately, we here at Agency Pink we can be of great assistance in this respect as our stunning elite escorts are on hand every day of the week to accompany you for a late evening feed and a few glasses of vino after the sun has gone down.
